To succeed in this Literature Studies: Reimagining the Classics course, students must meet the following expectations:
✅ Core Participation
- Live Lectures: Mondays. Live Class Discussions: Tuesdays.
- Respond to discussion prompts and reply to at least one peer’s post.
📝 Assignments & Assessments
- Complete all readings, reflections, and interactive graphic novel analysis activities for each unit.
- Submit quizzes, short literary responses, and creative writing assignments.
- Participate in collaborative discussions and visual literacy projects.
- Submit a comprehensive Final Project interpreting a classic text through a creative or analytical lens.
📚 Independent Study Expectations
- Complete all lesson materials, including graphic novel readings, discussion reflections, and media reviews.
- Conduct independent research to support written analysis or multimedia projects.
🕒 Time Commitment
Students should expect to spend approximately 3–5 hours per week on coursework, including reading, discussions, and assignments. Additional time may be needed for final projects or creative work.
