The Exploitation of Africa
This online course delves into the complex history of exploitation in Africa. From the transatlantic slave trade to modern-day resource extraction, we will examine the various forms of exploitation that have impacted the continent and its people. Through a combination of readings, videos, interactive maps, and discussion forums, students will gain a deeper understanding of the historical and contemporary issues surrounding exploitation in Africa.
Course Duration:
This course will run for the duration of the Fall 2025 semester, starting on August 11th, 2025, and ending on December 12th, 2025. Access to the course will end on the final day of the semester. Students will receive their final grades after the course concludes.
